Unit Solutions seeks Full Charge Bookkeeper with solid QuickBooks experience. This is a part-time (1 – 2 days/week) position. Option to a future full-time.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bank and credit card reconciliation.
  • Financial reporting and management of the general ledger system.
  • Annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
  • Assist corporate accounting firm to prepare property, business and payroll related tax reports, and maintain business licenses. Prepare 1099s.
  • Assist with the compilation of the quarterly reporting package for upper management and investors.
  • Create, evaluate and maintain updated internal control and accounting policies.
  • Assist heavily with automation & streamlining of existing accounting procedures with the goal of implementing best practices.
  • Human resources, including new hires and benefits tracking.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of bookkeeping experience.

Professional in Excel and QuickBooks required.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Experience at an architecture or design form or home builder a huge plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

We are looking for an Architectural Intern to join our team. Unit Solutions is a startup environment so the successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced work atmosphere. This person will also be creative, flexible and knowledgeable about design.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years prior work experience with AutoCAD 2009
  • 1-2 years prior work experience with Revit 2010 (min), familiarity with energy modeling a plus.
  • Interest in sustainable design, architecture and prefab.
  • Pursuing or earned minimum BS, BA or MARCH in Architecture.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Software Skills:

  • Research, quantify, and document the environmental impact all Unit Solutions projects.
  • Research new sustainable and healthy building materials, technology, and systems, and make recommendations about which products to incorporate into the Unit Solutions product line.
  • Analyze rating systems such as LEED for Homes and make recommendations about which sustainable features should be included in Unit Solutions’ product line.
  • Gain real-world experience in data analysis and its application to product development.

 

Desirable skills, traits and experience:

  • Prior experience with quantitative analysis, conceptual model development, and / or novel thinking – from any field
  • Some college – preferably in environmental science or building technology.
  • Strong research habits. Understanding of how to use library resources, trade publications, interviews, and the Internet to gain a good understanding of new sustainable technologies.
  • Logical thinker who likes using diagrams, charts, and illustrations to communicate.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Unit Solutions is seeking a rigorous and creative thinker to work with us and assist in our Sales & Marketing Department. The candidate will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Director on current projects and daily activities.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing marketing events at one of our show homes.
  • Assisting on the development of media plans.
  • Monitoring the performance of event and ad schedules.
  • Answering incoming phone calls and emails
  • Preparing monthly email newsletters

It will also include: conducting media research, attending meetings and preparing reports, researching competitive information, as well as other organizational projects. The intern will have exposure to a variety of internal meetings and will see how marketing projects and campaigns are created, driven and executed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advertising, Marketing, Media, or Communications students are welcome.
  • Candidates must be undergraduate students and must be eligible to receive academic credit.

Unit Solutions is seeking college/GRAD students with a background in architecture, industrial design, or graphic design to work with us to produce 3D models and renderings for client presentations and in-house use. Candidate must possess a good spatial sense, and eye for detail, and ability to communicate graphically. The Architectural Visualization Intern will work with our design team, using a combination of 2D and 3D compositing techniques to bring our design to life on the web and in print.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating 3D renderings from REVIT (preferred) or 3D S MAX or equivalent
  • Setting up textures and lighting for 3D models

Prior experience and familiarity with the following software is required: Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, VRAY (or equivalent), and Adobe Photoshop.
